UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

WELCOME TO UMW
The Osseo United Methodist Women's organization (UMW) extends a warm welcome
to all women who attend our church. We hold general meetings four times a year.

We have interesting programs and plan activities to provide money and goods to help
support our Mission Projects around the world. Other activities of UMW are the
Spring Banquet, held in May, and the Secret Sis program, remembering a special friend
with cards and small gifts anonymously.

CIRCLES
In addition to general meetings, we have four Circles of women who meet together,
study, and have fun in smaller groups. These groups provide a wonderful opportunity
to form closer friendships while working together to support Christian activities in the world.
The Circles are:
Deborah-Ruth - meets 1:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday in the month in the fireside room at Church
2006 starts a new study of India and Pakistan, a region of the worlds thrust into the
spotlight by the tsunami last year. The study promises a fascinating look at the
history and religion of these countries. Discover the theologies that are emerging
from these two countries today and the impact that it has on the women and children
who live in those cultures.

Mary-Martha - meets 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday in the month
This year we are studing "Living a Life of Balance" from the Women of Faith series.
Only God can guide us toward the balance we desperately desire. It starts with our
hearts and this study will help us get there.

Rebekah - meets 7:00 p.m. on the 4th Monday of the month.
2006 starts a study from the Women of Faith series entitled "Strengthening Your faith".
Author Berverly Wilson says of the study, "You will appreciate the bonds that form as you
join with other women linked together in friendship, prayer, joy and faith".

Lydia - meets 6:30 p.m. the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.
2006 starts a new study called "Alife changing encounter with God's Word - from the book of Genesis"

Meetings are generally held at the church unless otherwise indicated in the church bulletin.
